We want our titleholders to stay actively involved in pageant competitions without missing a year, while also honoring the title they have been entrusted with. This means making appearances in the EPIC Crown and Banner throughout their entire reign.
National Winners are encouraged to compete in state pageants during the state pageant season to better prepare for the following national pageant cycle. We do allow overlapping titles and will work with delegates whose pending national pageant overlaps. If a National Winner wishes to compete in another system, they must consult with the National Office prior to entering or participating. Additionally, fair, festival, community, and charity pageants are excellent opportunities for National Winners to continue sharpening their skills while reigning.
Expectations for National Winners
(Under contract, National Winners are required to abide by the following summary of EPIC standards)
- Professional Reputation
National Winners—and their parents—must maintain a professional reputation on all social media platforms, in keeping with the standards of Emissary Pageants International Congress. - State Pageant Attendance
National Winners must attend, at minimum, the finals of their state pageant the following year (if applicable). We also encourage attendance at as many state and local competitions as possible throughout the reign. The more you invest in your reign, the more rewarding the experience will be. When attending any state, local, or national finals, winners must be dressed appropriately and set an example. - Appearance Standards
At all appearances related to Emissary Pageants International Congress, National Winners are expected to maintain a professional pageant-ready look. This includes appropriate hair, makeup, and wardrobe. - National Finals Attendance
National Winners must attend the entirety of Nationals the following year to crown their successor. This means arriving intime for the opening Queens and Staff meeting. Remaining cash and prizes will only be awarded to divisional winners who complete their full year’s reign.
