After being accepted as a Recruiter/Director:
- A Recruiter does not pay a fee but has a limit on their income of $1300 annually. Recruiting is ideal for the delegate that wants to compete and earn her fees by referring her friends. When a recruiter transitions to a director, they will still pay a Setup Fee and submit to a background check.
- State Directors pay a $300 Setup Fee (one time, per state) for website customization, social media and email set-up, and Annual Franchise Fee of $300 and a $75 Background Check Fee (which must be renewed annually). We also provide a database with a wealth of templates and forms to support your new business. We want to make sure our delegates are provided with a consistent and safe program, and this helps us with that process.
- Training and support from the National and/or International Director.
- Purchase a minimum of 8 crowns and sashes from our International Office for a delegate in each of the Jr and Sr Divisions.
- You will complete a local DBA per the guidelines for your state.
- All Franchise Contracts are renewable each year 30 days prior to the national/international pageant for the following season. This allows us to either begin recruiting for a smooth transition or you to immediately get started on next year’s recruitment while the media blitz from Nationals is on fire.
- AND… A State Director Incentive Program with National’s Week Opportunities and Cash Prizes!
Typical Pageant Business Expenses
- Venue
- International T-shirts $25
- Crowns & Sashes State $100
- Other awards
- Tally Genie ($5-per delegate)
- Insurance – www.theeventhelper.com
- Other related expenses for a pageant
As an independent state franchise owner and State Director, you can pay for these items from the fees and other monies you collect by holding your pageant. You make all the expense decisions that are not specified by the International Pageant and create your own prize packages, pricing, and revenue streams within international pageant guidelines. Revenue is largely generated by registrations and optional registrations. Pageant directors can offer sales and other incentives to boost registration. The international pageant office is available for consultation as to what has worked successfully in the past from our vast experience and to help you brainstorm and implement new and innovative ideas for income streams. All profit made after all expenses are paid for your pageant is for you, the State Director to keep or reinvest as you choose. You are responsible for your own taxes, and we encourage you to seek the advice of a professional as needed. The International Pageant also offers an incentive program to guide and reward directors that are building profitable programs in their state!
