Muhammad Ali once said, “Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them- a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the skill and the will but the will must be stronger than the skill.”
It is this will that has helped Jenn thrive with patience, perseverance, balance, protection, healing and love. She has always dreamed about becoming a Doctor of Philosophy in Education, being able to inspire the world to be the spark, make a difference, and see sports education is for all and she is nearing the end of her doctoral journey. Something you might not know about Jenn is when she was a freshman in high school, she competed at the 2002 National Cheerleader Association Nation’s Best Mascot Championships and she the first mascot in NCA history to twirl batons.

Twirling 2 Fight Cancer
Entertain. Educate. Enhance Awareness. Raise Fund 4 All Cancer Initiatives!

Twirling to Fight Cancer was founded in 2011 with love and respect for those who have survived cancer and those who stood on the battlefield with their loved ones. We bring together twirlers from around the world to educate, entertain, and enhance awareness of cancer and its impact on survivors and their loved ones.
In April 2025, Dr. Jenn was named the first-ever Community Ambassador for Twirling 2 Fight Cancer. As a baton twirler, national queen, and community ambassador, being given this honor to have T2FC as a national charity and representing them throughout Texas and the United States of America for the 2025-2026 baton twirling competition season is an extension of her platform #BethSpark- #Live2Educate yet, has a personal connection. During her Fall 2011 semester at Howard Payne, a few short days before her last home game, she received a call that her music mentor and former vocal teacher, Vicky Schulz, had passed away from breast cancer. This was the 2nd time in her life that she had lost a loved one close to her to cancer, which impacted her baton twirling and education. She vowed she would use her gift of baton twirling to make a change. Through her over nearly 25 year baton twirling friendship with John Mitchell, upon sharing her platform, mentioning she wanted to honor her late Aunt Dot, Mrs. Vicky, and her grandma Georgia especially, and those fighting the fight and those who have lost the fight T2FC has created an opportunity to her to fulfill her lifelong dream as a baton twirling athlete, national queen, and community ambassador. Naturally, she hopes to inspire others to Be the SPARK, Be EPIC, and Live to Educate to help us Twirl 2 Fight Cancer, which effects 5 Million Americans yearly!!
